The Holy Land Trekking and Service

This course combines service and trekking through The Holy Land and Palestine. You will spend time in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Nazareth and then have the opportunity to trek for four days from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee along the Jesus Trail™. The Jesus Trail™ is a moderate trail on which you will carry only a daypack, as your gear is transferred to each night’s accommodations. We have had college and high school students, groups of friends, church groups and families join us for this adventure! A number of people and groups from various backgrounds have embarked on this expedition. You do not need experience in mountaineering or the outdoors to join!

There are options for camping or staying in a bed and breakfast or hostel along the trail, making this a great course for families or folks who could not participate in a “typical” Summit course.

Course Elements

  • Visits to cultural and historical sites

  • The Jesus Trail™
